Favorite Sports Moments:

  • I was sitting in the upper deck in left field during Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS between my beloved Mets and the Cardinals, with a perfect view of Endy Chavez’ robbery of Scott Rolen’s home run bid. I have been to a LOT of games in a LOT of stadiums, and I have never experienced a live moment quite like that.
  • Watching Jason Lezak run down Alain Bernard of France in the final leg of the 4x100 freestyle relay.
  • Obviously, David Tyree’s catch.
  • I guess Mario Manningham’s wasn’t too shabby either. Although it was the first pass he caught all year and I give almost all the credit to Eli’s pass.
  • Johan Santana’s no-hitter.
Least Favorite Sports Moments:

  • I was sitting in the upper deck in left field during Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS between my beloved Mets and the Cardinals, with a perfect view of Adam Wainwright snapping off 12to6 curve that froze Carlos Beltran and 56,537 fans stiff. I have been to a LOT of games in a LOT of stadiums, and I have never experienced a live moment quite like that.
  • Tom Glavine completing the debacle of all debacles and the collapse of all collapses on the last game of the year in 2007.
  • Luis Castillo dropping the infamous popup against the Yankees.
  • I guess it was only fitting that these were all Mets moments.

Favorite Sports Moments:

  • The David Tyree catch. Far and away my favorite.
  • Ahmad Bradshaw scores a touchdown late in the 2011 Super Bowl to give the Giants the lead. I know it’s not the signature play of the game, but once that happened I knew what the result was going to be.
  • Aaron Boone crushes a knuckleball from Tim Wakefield in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS to send the Yankees to the World Series and the Red Sox home packing.
  • Hideki Matsui transforms back into Godzilla in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series to lead the Yankees to their 27th ring.
  • Everything about the 2008 Wimbledon final between Federer and Nadal. Every point was a battle and in hindsight it was probably the greatest tennis match ever played.

Least Favorite Sports Moments:

  • My mom wakes me up so I can see the replay of Ron Dixon scoring a kick return touchdown for the Giants in the 2000 Super Bowl. I missed the replay, but I made it downstairs just in time to see Jermaine Lewis of the Ravens run the ensuing kickoff right back.
  • The ending of the 2002 Wild Card game against the 49ers. Jeff Garcia turns into Joe Montana in the 4th quarter, but the Giants still have a chance to kick a game-winning field goal. They botch the snap, the holder actually gets a pass off, and pass interference isn’t called.
  • Being a 10 year-old kid at Game 1 of the 2003 World Series and watching the Yankees start a rally late in the game, only to have Dontrelle Willis come out of the bullpen and ruin my hopes and dreams.
  • Everything about the 2004 ALCS. I don’t feel like elaborating.
  • “The Miracle at the New Meadowlands” or whatever Eagles fans like to call it. I call it Matt Dodge not being able to kick a punt out of bounds and then watching DeSean Jackson absolutely embarrass the Giants’ special teams.

Favorite Sports Moments:
  • Super Bowl 42: Everything about that game, greatest sporting event I have been or ever will go to.
  •  Jason Sehorn returning interception for touchdown against the Eagles in the 2001 playoffs.
  • Mario Manningham catch and Chase Blackburn interception in Super Bowl 46
  • Vince Carter’s Dunk Contest in 2000 is one of my most vivid sports memory for some strange reason
  • Winning the Flag Football Super Bowl for Coach Mendoza on the Bucs
Least Favorite Sports Moments:

  • The 2008 Giants losing to the Eagles in the Divisional Round. It was in my opinion the most talented team the Giants ever had.
  • The Curt Schilling Bloody Sock Game. While I am not a huge baseball fan anymore, I do not ever remembering being angrier after a Yankee game.
  • Giants losing Super Bowl 35 in such embarrassing fashion. My only memory from the game is James Lewis returning the kick for a touchdown, which isn’t a great memory.
  • Speaking of kick returns, Devin Hester returning two kicks for touchdowns against the Giants, one being a fake knee.
